Vasanas vrttis are many; consciousness is only one.

Learning to unify things ( assimilation ) is immensely helpful on the spiritual path.

“Worries, fear, anger, jealousy, greed, attachment, lust.”

What is common among all these vrttis?

All are derived from desire.

When you get set to obtain ( desire ) something –

– “Will I be able to obtain it or not?” ( worry )
– “What if I don’t get it?” ( fear )
– ⁠if someone comes in between you and your goal ( anger ).
– ⁠if someone got it and you could not ( jealousy).
– ⁠” I got what I wanted, but I want more and more” ( greed ).
– ⁠” I don’t want to lose what I have obtained.” ( attachment ).
– ⁠” I am receiving immense pleasure from what I have obtained, and I can’t do without it.” ( lust ).

All are derived from desire.

Desires take us away from our blissful home – the soul, the consciousness, and create all the Vrttis and Vasanas.
