According to spirituality, we are made of three Gunas.
1. Tamas – the tendency to take, to “not do anything, “indolence.
2. Rajas – to do something but expect a return. – going to work and making a living.
3. Tapas – to do something and expect no return. – helping a blind man cross the road.
We all have these three Gunas within us.
Throughout the day, we toggle among these three Gunas in various proportions.
This is our current existence in Sansar.
All these Gunas are dependent on Sansar.
Tamas needs Sansar to gain something from Sansar.
Rajas needs Sansar to act and to get something in return.
Tapas needs Sansar to exhibit the goodness within.
