We have only one fear.
Fear of losing the KNOWN ( to which we are attached ).
And the uncertainty of the future makes that continuity of attachment insecure.
So, fear of the unknown is, in reality, fear of losing the known.
We would be happy if life kept going around with what we already have ( and like ).
So, we are living in an imaginary cocoon that WE have created for ourselves.
And WE are afraid of piercing this cocoon.
And – “WE” means our EGO ( our BODY + MIND ).
Meditation is that path to pierce out of that cocoon and see what is beyond that cocoon ( Ego ).
This cocoon has to be unwound one strand at a time.
This requires courage, but start the path, and He will provide the courage.
First, acknowledge your dependence ( your mind’s ) on others – people, objects, situations.
Put the conditions towards a positivity your mind needs to follow, and make sure it does.
(It’s like training a dog ).
Follow the conditions through.
Slowly, slowly, your mind will become weaker, and Atma will get stronger.
Conditions you have to devise, based on your weakness – objects, people, situations.
E.g., healthy living, always speaking the truth despite consequences, healthy foods, proper sleep, staying away from arguing, understanding others more, etc.
Keep meditating, and internal energy will become your companion on this path.
