Analysis of Desires
Alcohol is only symbolic.
But
We all are SEEKING happiness.
Why do we seek happiness?
Because we are unhappy.
Seeking happiness is a symptom of a more significant disease within us.
And the name of that disease is an UNHAPPY state of our minds.
We are so lost in working, working, working, so that we can afford “happiness,” we don’t have time to analyze this fact.
We keep shooting arrows toward objects of pleasure (objects, people, situations ), and our mind always focuses on goals.
But we never look at the other end of the arrows.
Where are the arrows coming from?
From an unhappy mind.
Meditation will fix that state and turn it into a HAPPY state of mind.
And HAPPY PEOPLE DON’T HAVE TO BECOME HAPPY because they ARE happy.
Sansaric happiness is like occasional lightning in the otherwise dark sky.
The whole life mostly is like a dark sky – sad.
Inner happiness ( bliss ) is a perpetual state of happiness (joy, contentment ) from which arrows don’t shoot ( desires don’t arise ) anymore.
