OWNERSHIP IS AN ILLUSION.

OWNERSHIP IS AN ILLUSION.

Any gamble, whether playing in a casino or trading stocks, is done with the future in mind.

Once the future enters the picture, the mind starts to get restlessness because the future is unpredictable.

For example, you are at peace when you don’t own a Google stock.

As soon as you buy one, your restlessness starts, and you start checking its price every minute.

Why?

If your dog gets sick, you get upset, but if a neighbor’s dog gets sick, you express sympathy and walk away.

If I pick up some fragments of “knowledge “ from scriptures and start believing them to be my truth, I get upset when someone challenges this “my knowledge”.

Why?

The restlessness lies with the “ownership”.

Any ownership ( including ownership of knowledge ) leads to suffering.

Why?

And What is the solution?

Ownership of any kind is an illusion because it is against nature.

In nature, nothing “owns” nothing.

The sun does not own the moon, and the moon does not own the sun; both stay in their own natures.

Trying to “own” things ( objects, people, situations ) is unnatural and only leads to friction with others ( who are also trying to own the same things ).

It would still be worth it if you could truly own those things ( that you can take with you ), but you don’t, and the reason is, you can’t.

Anything that comes from outside was never yours and never will be yours ( objects, people, situations – money, dog, knowledge ).

Be attentive to your needs versus your greeds.

Loosen the idea of owning anything ( knowledge is the toughest to walk away from ).

There is nothing yours and nothing will be yours.

Free up more time this way and employ it in finding your true nature and stay in it.

That is yours and will always stay yours; there is no friction or competition there.

And not even death can take you apart.

The satisfaction of reuniting with one’s own nature leads to sukh ( contentment ) that you will never find by “owning” worldly things. ( objects, people, situations ).

WHAT DO I DO WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE?

Now, digest this well and analyze your present life.

How many objects, people, and situations, knowledges, are you calling YOURS?

Walk away from them ( mentally ), and suddenly, your psyche will expand.

I don’t own my spouse.
I don’t own my children.
I don’t own my friends, patients, clients.
I don’t own any of my assents ( tangible or non-tangible ).
I don’t own my religion.
I don’t own any of the scriptural knowledge.

Suddenly, freedom will start sneaking into your life.

This newfound freedom will also bring freedom to the lives of people around you.

A strange ( because you have not experienced it before ), but an amazing peace and joy will get established in your psyche, ultimately leading to love for all.
