Thought of the day.
Every desire weakens us by draining our consciousness and eroding our true identity.
More and more objects of pleasure have been created over centuries of human history, weakening our inner core.
Objects keep on changing, but the basic principle behind them remains the same.
Objects of pleasure lead to dependence and covetousness, draining our spiritual strength.
You could be attached to objects or people, doesn’t matter.
Gradually, you become hypnotized with them (Un-conscious ), and you cannot think of anything else.
And in that state, man will sacrifice anything or anyone, his time, resources, well-wishers, wisdom, etc, to obtain them.
As you surround yourself with more and more objects of pleasure, you start losing your true identity.
And little by little, THEY become your new identity, ( Tadatmya – Tat = You, Atma = Soul, you are my soul ).
Once the soul is buried deeply, you are a dead man walking, because your life rotates around only dead matter – objects, people, situations, a fake identity ( Sansar ).
The spiritual spark is no more and another precious human life comes to a futile end.
